About The Position
Melinta Therapeutics is seeking a talented Project Manager to join our Corporate Development and Strategy team. This role is pivotal in managing significant projects and supporting business development activities that are critical to the company's growth and success. The Project Manager will report directly to the Chief Business Officer and will be responsible for overseeing complex projects that align with Melinta's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, driven, and strategic thinker capable of managing comprehensive project plans that ensure successful execution and alignment with the department's initiatives. In this position, the Project Manager will develop, implement, and manage project plans that encompass scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Regular updates and progress reports will be prepared and presented to senior management and key stakeholders to keep them informed of project status and recommendations. Additionally, the Project Manager will assist in evaluating new licensing and M&A opportunities by conducting thorough market research and business case analysis to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, finance, and legal departments, to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic projects. Acting as a liaison between the Corporate Development and Strategy Team and project teams, the Project Manager will facilitate communication across various functional teams, including manufacturing, clinical development, and regulatory, to ensure project deliverables are met. Risk management will also be a critical aspect of this role, requiring the identification and escalation of risks associated with projects, as well as the development of mitigation strategies. Continuous improvement of processes and procedures will be encouraged, with collaboration alongside the Chief Business Officer and Vice President of Alliance Management and Strategic Projects to enhance project processes based on market trends and operational feedback. Governance and compliance will be paramount, ensuring that all projects adhere to company policies and procedures.
