About the position
The Project Manager 3 position at Trilyon involves overseeing a complex $20 million modernization project for a leading multinational corporation. The role requires extensive change and vendor management skills, along with experience in Microsoft DevOps. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating work teams, managing project scope, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders while adhering to standard project management practices.
Responsibilities
- Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams.
- Follows standard project management industry practices such as PMI's framework.
- Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with the project sponsor.
- Creates project charter and work plan and tracks budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics.
- Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities.
- Documents risks and develops mitigation plans.
- Manages project scope and creates and implements a communication plan.
- Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes.
- Negotiates resources and communicates to stakeholders and project sponsor.
- Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers.
- Provides technical support to project members and handles complex application features and technical designs.
- Directs corrective actions in any area where performance falls below objectives.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience managing projects with budgets greater than $5 million.
- 5 years Agile Leadership Experience.
- 10 years of experience as a project manager, with the last position being in project management.
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps.
- Experience working with other project managers to ensure technology integration between systems.
- Must be local to the Lansing, Michigan area.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional certification in project management is highly desirable.
- Previous client's experience is highly desired.
