Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of experience in design and construction of hydropower, hydraulic structures, or dams projects
  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management with full responsibility for the outcome of the project 
  • Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting 
  • Previous experience in a client facing role

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver multiple hydropower, hydraulic structures and dams projects, including capital improvements, equipment refurbishment and upgrades, lifecycle extension programs, regulatory compliance projects, and dam safety improvements.
  • Provide technical support for client projects covering all hydropower technologies including small hydropower, conventional hydropower, and pumped storage.
  • Oversee EPC vendors and contractors and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage risks and ensure successful project execution.
  • Serve as the primary client interface with assigned clients to assist in developing client relationships and identification of new project opportunities including pre-positioning for favorable consideration by the client.
  • Support business development efforts by leading proposal development in response to client RFPs.
  • Join the West Region Hydropower Leadership team, who is responsible for defining strategic marketing and execution strategies as well as making project and team staff decisions.
