About The Position

1. Manages, oversees and coordinates many aspects for small to medium projects of moderate complexity from award through completion of project, including: overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contract. Prepares project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures. 2. Translates a variety of customer needs / requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans to meet Customer requirements; reviews and approves estimated costs prior to bid; provision of technical assistance to sales force as and when required; supervision of project design engineering; supervision of installation labor and subcontractors; preparation of project schedules, subcontracts, change proposals, project invoices; assists with collections on projects. 3. Effectively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required, and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports. 4. Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service. 5. Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines. 6. Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction. 7. Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies, services and controls necessary for timely and cost effective completion of project within budget. 8. Establish project milestones and analyze costs; Exposure to financial systems to review actual vs. estimated job cost and to provide timely and accurate project cost reports; identify reasons for low job site productivity and determine impact on the project; adjusts or corrects project plan and/or project cost estimates as necessary to meet financial goals. 9. Manage the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements as they arise. 10. May perform limited range of managerial responsibilities including but not limited to: mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; project budget. Oversees subcontractor selection process and work. 11. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills related to Program/Project Management
  • Broad based industry and market knowledge of network and low voltage building systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with ability to deliver presentations to multiple levels of an organization
  • Project and service financial competencies
  • Experience with contract negotiation and administration
  • Strong work ethic with personal motivation to function individually and part of a team
  • Ability to create internal and external organizational alignment through relationships, communicating vision and team building
  • Understanding of appropriate levels of protection regarding to customer personnel, information, and property, both real and intellectual
  • An experienced leader that acts as a role model while guiding, developing and mentoring others within the organization
