About The Position

The Project Management Supervisor (E7) within Transmission Project Management (PMO) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and Project Managers (PMs) involved in transmission line and substation capital construction projects. This role entails overseeing statewide project management teams in Area Execution and is also responsible for their development and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or related field
• Proven leadership abilities and commitment to Safety Excellence
• A minimum of 5 years combined experience in any of the following electric utility areas: Transmission Planning, Transmission Design/Engineering, Transmission Construction, Transmission Maintenance& Support, Transmission Operations, and/or Power Delivery Project Management
• Proven experience in successfully managing internal and external relationships
• Knowledge of contract administration
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the transmission system, engineering principles, electric operating practices, construction practices, land requirements and regulations, budgeting, scheduling, and general business practices
• Strong ability to collaborate with PMO Leadership and various GPC partners (Land, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Transmission Operations, Transmission Maintenance & Support, Transmission Planning, Capital Portfolio Manager, etc.)

• Experience with STOMP, TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), and/or P6/Primavera

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership and direction for Assistant Project Managers (APMs) and Project Managers (PMs) on activities associated with transmission line and substation capital construction projects.
• Overseeing statewide project management teams in Area Execution.
• Developing and training members of these teams.
• Responding after hours occasionally due to customer needs, project scheduling, storm restoration activities (DAT), and other unforeseen reasons.
