About The Position

Through vigorous legal advocacy and evidence-based solutions, and by strengthening supportive community connections, we foster resilience, advance equity and restore hope. The Project Management & Stewardship Director reports to the Chief Development Officer. The role directs work associated with philanthropic engagement programs and the stewardship system to promote interaction with and relationship building with thought leaders, funders, and influencers in the philanthropy space. Leads the development and implementation of project plans for successful integration of alliances or partnerships. Collaborates with senior management to develop and implement strategies to secure participation in the 2027 philanthropic longevity convening being hosted by AARP and AARP Foundation and position the organization for success. Tracks, measures, and reports on progress. Manages multiple portfolios for stewardship and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years plus fundraising experience, working with donors from identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
  • Project management experience.
  • Awareness of fundraising industry best practices and trends.
  • Awareness of philanthropy industry practices and trends.
  • Proven ability to analyze and use data.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and implements assigned projects.
  • Determines resources needed, tracks budgets, determines scope and execution, tracks progress towards milestones, establishes timelines, and evaluates progress.
  • Ensures adherence to internal and external quality standards.
  • Organizes project teams and leads internal and external team members and stakeholders to deliver on project goals.
  • Establishes project communication plans and ensures internal/external stakeholders are informed regarding project processes and impact.
