About The Position

As a Project Management Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting our software implementation efforts by leading a portfolio of small-scale projects. You'll work directly with new and existing customers to manage software implementations, source system conversions, add-on modules, and Continuous Improvement initiatives from kickoff to close. This role is designed to build your project leadership skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to larger, more complex portfolios over time.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in project coordination, project support, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented in the face of challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced project leaders.
  • Foundational understanding of project scope, timelines, and budget principles.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to contribute ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead a portfolio of small-scale customer projects from kickoff to completion, with mentorship and guidance from senior project leaders.
  • Develop and maintain project workplans, documenting changes and risks in alignment with customer statements of work.
  • Monitor project progress using Salesforce, Smartsheet, and other Project Management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are met and expectations are aligned.
  • Report progress through weekly status meetings and monthly executive meetings with clients and internal leadership.
  • Assist project leaders in defining risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
  • Support project budget tracking and documentation, including Change Requests and Order Forms.
  • Maintain high-quality project documentation and ensure timely updates to internal systems.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, fostering strong relationships and ensuring a smooth implementation experience.
  • Manage expectations and escalations of both internal team members and clients.
  • Participate in regular planning meetings to prepare for & manage project tasks in alignment with Strata's Agile operations.
  • Ensure coordination between different consulting teams to ensure implementation tasks are clearly defined and completed on schedule.
  • Support account management activities as needed with assigned client accounts.
