About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Services organization is seeking a P-8 Training Project Management Specialist to join the team in Hazelwood, MO. In this role, reporting to the South Korea P-8 Training Program Manager, the individual will be the Deputy Program Manager and will interact with a wide variety of organizations and business units such as BGS Government Training Engineering (GTE), Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS), Boeing Korea, foreign and domestic suppliers, US Navy customer, and the Republic of Korea Navy end user.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience with Program / Project management, or related leadership experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with Earned Value Management or similar cost and schedule accounting means
  • Experience with Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience working with and/or managing contractors, subcontractors or suppliers
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with military or commercial aviation training (experience with P-8 Training a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of project plans and schedules
  • Establish, monitor and integrate project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management and decisions
  • Perform project management activities in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g. PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, OSHA, and ISO-standards)
  • Coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects
  • Serve as a liaison between program and team, finance, planning, scheduling, and functional management
  • Use trend, variance analyses, risk assessments and mitigations, and cost and schedule baselines
  • Document lessons learned
  • Lead the proposal activity for the follow-on Contractor Logistics Services (CLS) contract
