About The Position

As a CBRE Project Management Director for a confidential oil & gas client, you'll be responsible for department-related management services and client relationship in support of fuel station projects (from new ground-up builds, tank and line works, facilities projects, etc.). Projects are primarily located in California/west coast US. This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • Experience within fuel station and/or retail ground-up project environment preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure overall success of all end-to-end projects/program for our client, including development of a trusted client relationship, successful management of established KPIs, acting as a thought/innovative leader and effective oversight of a team supporting the program.
  • Provide formal supervision to employees.
  • Monitor the training and development of staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines.
  • Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Direct all phases of the process for management of the program including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.
  • Ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts are accurate, timely, and compliant (including compliance with established KPIs).
  • Develop new business growth and maintain existing business relationships.
  • Maintain full responsibility for the financial performance of market, program, client account and internal P&L.
  • Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation and backup plans.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
  • Significantly mature/improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
