About The Position

The successful candidate will support planning and execution of various supplier development projects at NNS in support of Supply Chain Procurement and Outsourcing for all Programs. In addition to working directly with supplier personnel, the successful candidate will collaborate with Buyers, Engineers, Quality, and Program personnel to effect improvement in material availability and cost for NNS. Production/capacity planning experience, data extraction and analysis skills are extremely valuable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Skills: Lean, Six Sigma, procurement, planning, engineering, manufacturing, quality, business development, project management, data extraction and analysis experience/skills are extremely valuable.
  • STRONG written communication skills inclusive of recommendation and/or proposal development.
  • STRONG customer interface skills - must able to be trusted to represent our team for IEP and SD with the suppliers and NAVSEA.
  • STRONG project management skills - must understand development of a plan (in writing) and then moving forward with execution and tracking of that plan.
