About The Position

The Army Division (N210) is seeking a talented and experienced leader to serve as the Army Acquisition Project leader for the Concept to Capabilities Department (N213). As project lead, the candidate will be responsible for execution of this work program on behalf of the Assistant Secretary of the Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)). The selected candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction of the project work program, strategically shaping and executing the tasks with the sponsor, growing a diverse team of world-class technical and engineering talent, fostering a culture of connection and belonging among department and division staff, and building collaborative relationships across the sponsor community, MITRE, industry, and academia. The successful candidate will collaborate with department managers and chief engineers that lead our support bringing MITRE Labs to bear will also be critical to success. ASA(ALT) leadership reside across various National Capitol Region locations, such as the Pentagon, Aberdeen Proving Ground, and Ft. Belvoir VA. Successful candidates will work closely with senior government civilian and military leaders to define and execute MITRE's work. Regular sponsor interaction will be required, and the candidate may be expected to co-locate in government spaces. The candidate must be willing to support meetings and engage with government stakeholders 'where they are' as mission requirements demand. The project leader will be accountable to the N213 department manager for all aspects of the sponsor-facing and internal business operations. In addition, the PL will coordinate and integrate efforts closely across the department and division, and broader MITRE to maximize the impact and role within the sponsor organization. This role will embody the recent MNS strategy update reflective of working on the most consequential of sponsor problems and maximizing value.
