About The Position

Chick-fil-A Supply Chain is dedicated to supporting our restaurant Operators and Team Members by fostering growth through a dynamic network founded on exceptional care. We are committed to ensuring that Chick-fil-A restaurants receive safe and reliable products in a manner that seamlessly integrates with restaurant operations. Our Supply Chain collaborates with numerous external distributors, suppliers, brokers, and other partners to serve our restaurants and operators. The Technical Integration Lead will technically support external partner success strategies to ensure our Supply Chain distribution and supplier partners meet our data and data performance expectations in alignment with business objectives. The Technical Integration Lead is responsible for the successful onboarding and integration of data with partners. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, project tracking and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience designing technical file specifications, managing data integration projects, and fostering positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. A strong understanding of how data is used for business insights is critical. A key aspect of this role involves understanding Supply Chain Systems and the development efforts required by partners to implement necessary processes and policies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data integration, EDI, or related technical roles.
  • Proficiency in designing technical file specifications in EDI, XML, and JSON formats.
  • Experience with data integration protocols such as AS2 and sFTP.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques (e.g., relational, dimensional).
  • Experience with data mapping, data transformation, and data validation techniques.
  • Experience with data governance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or willingness to learn Python and Python Libraries (e.g. Pytest or Unittest, Pandas or Polars, NumPy, etc...).
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Understanding of data normalization and denormalization techniques.
  • Ability to design data models that support efficient querying and reporting.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain Systems, including ERP, WMS, and TMS.
  • Familiarity with the data flows and business processes within the above systems.
  • Ability to assess the development efforts required by partners to integrate with our systems effectively.
  • Experience with supply chain data standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of how data is used for business insights, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data needs and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and document detailed technical requirements from internal teams and external partners for new data integrations.
  • Design and maintain technical file specifications in various formats including EDI, XML, and JSON.
  • Work with the Design team as they implement data models that support efficient data integration and analysis.
  • Create comprehensive data maps and documentation outlining data requirements, transformations, and validation rules.
  • Oversee the implementation of data integrations using AS2, sFTP, and other secure data transfer methods.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical communication with external partners throughout the integration process.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones.
  • Understand the intricacies of integrating data with various Supply Chain Systems (ERP, WMS, TMS) to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.
  • Provide guidance and support to partners regarding the development work required on their systems to implement the necessary integration processes and policies.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data integration, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Understand how integrated data is utilized for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and alignment with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data integration processes, enhance data quality, and streamline partner onboarding.
