About The Position

We’re hiring a Project Lead to join our automotive team in Mountain View. This role focuses on projects with one primary vehicle OEM (BMW), along with multiple smaller projects involving device OEMs and technology partners. You’ll own and coordinate complex automotive projects across domains such as Digital Key, Infotainment, Connectivity, and Entertainment, while leading a small team of test engineers and working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams. This role is well suited for someone with solid automotive experience who enjoys responsibility, customer interaction, and operating in environments that require managing ambiguity.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in project-based, test, validation, or systems roles
  • Prior experience coordinating or leading engineers or small technical teams
  • Strong communication skills and a structured, ownership-driven mindset
  • Technical background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Existing working permission for US, California

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with BMW or BMW-affiliated projects
  • Familiarity with BMW flashing processes or validation workflows
  • Hands-on experience with HIL systems or automotive test benches
  • Background in connected vehicle, infotainment, or digital key domains

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate automotive projects for BMW and select device OEM / technology partners
  • Manage multiple parallel projects with varying scope and timelines
  • Lead and manage a small team of test engineers, including task planning, prioritization, and day-to-day guidance
  • Act as a key interface to customers, internal teams, and external partners
  • Manage ambiguity across evolving requirements, technical constraints, and customer expectations
  • Plan, assign, and track tasks across projects and team members
  • Support HIL and automotive test bench setup, operation, and maintenance
  • Identify risks, gaps, and open topics and proactively drive them to resolution
  • Ensure clear communication, documentation, and alignment across stakeholders
