About The Position

DNA Diagnostics Center is the world leader in DNA relationship testing, processing over one million DNA samples from customers all over the world. Job Description Project Hires work on project basis, assisting the organization meet kit assembly and inventory requirements during spikes of volume or retailer restock requests. Assembly of various kits can be learned within 30 minutes. Kit assembly can be done at any period during core business hours, perfect for varying availability. Duration & Length of Role Role is project-based and subject to end when kit fulfillment volume decreases. Project Hires would be able to apply for and seek transfer to long term positions elsewhere in the organization but are not guaranteed long term employment past project end.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Ability to alternate between standing and sitting, stoop, bend, reach, pull, and push.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies or finished product.
  • Must be able to identify and differentiate kit contents.
  • Grasping and manipulation using both hands.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination needed.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble diagnostic kits repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and package DNA testing kits according to company specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects.
  • Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
  • Adhere to safety and operational protocols to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Continually work to achieve assigned production goals.
  • Prevent mix-up of products, materials, labels, and other components.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembled kits and inventory levels.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the Company’s quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies, procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned or become evident
