About The Position

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is looking for a Project Geotechnical Engineer to support the planning, engineering, and construction of complex projects. This position can be based in Kleinfelder's Riverside or Laguna Hills, California offices. The ideal candidate will perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks, conduct field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis, and technical support under supervision, coordinate tasks and small projects, and prepare designs, reports, and calculations on complex projects for review.

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of related experience or 4 years related experience with a Master's or 2 years of related experience with PhD.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred.
• Willingness to travel and perform field work, even under inclement weather and physically demanding conditions.
• Ability to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.
• Willingness to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience on design/build projects.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, drilling operations and heavy civil project design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis.
• Safely conduct field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support under supervision.
• Coordinate tasks and small projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff.
• Prepare designs, reports and calculations on complex projects for review.
