About The Position

Bering Sea Eccotech, LLC (BSE), a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is currently recruiting for the position of Project Geophysicist/Project Engineer, Munitions Response Service. This is a Full-Time, Exempt position. This position is located on the U.S. West Coast, eligible for remote work for the right candidate. This position will report to the Program Director. Job Description We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven Project Geophysicist/Project Engineer to assist the Project Managers with munitions response services projects for BSE, primarily projects involving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) program. Your expertise, energy, and vision will assist our organization in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, and ensuring existing and new projects are successfully implemented and delivered within the established schedule and budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or physical science-related field desired
  • Previous experience with FUDS projects including MMRP and HTRW projects
  • Experience working with deadlines
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ArcGIS
  • HAZWOPER trained
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a diverse audience including co-workers, Program and Project Managers, clients, contractors, government agencies, etc.
  • Eligible for employment in the U.S.
  • Eligible for government security clearance and/or ability to pass background check.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to travel in support of contract obligations. 5% of this role involves working on various field and client sites.
  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agency laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate as a team member but to work independently. 95% of this role involves working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with FUDS projects.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with various clients.
  • Prepare complete and accurate CERCLA reports (including Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies, Proposed Plans, Decision Documents, and Five-Year Reviews) and Uniform Federal Policy for Quality Assurance Program Plans for munitions response. All plans require approval from clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare for and execute field work including ordering supplies/equipment, preparing forms, scheduling/coordinating with subcontractors, data collection and meeting health and safety requirements.
  • Process and interpret chemical, geophysical, geographical, and geological data.
  • Oversee groundwater and soil lab analysis via the FUDSChem protocol.
  • Prepare and provide written and oral presentations.
  • Other duties as required.
