Requirements

  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geology or related discipline
  • Tennessee Professional Geologist (PG) registration
  • At least 3-7 years of applicable experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting
  • Proficient with MS. Office suite of products

Nice To Haves

  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus
  • Previous consulting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Understand, protect and promote our empathetic, people-focused culture in all aspects of the business
  • Understand and implement complex technical requirements for client projects to meet client satisfaction and ensure projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule and budget
  • Lead drilling oversight; groundwater, soil and rock sampling; and groundwater monitoring efforts on site.
  • Conduct field studies and surveys to collect soil/groundwater samples and data
  • Prepare and review geological maps, cross-sections, and detailed technical reports.
  • Ensure quality, timeliness, and regulatory compliance of deliverables
  • Assist with preparing regulatory submittals, such as permit applications and plans
  • Oversee several small projects and occasionally lead larger, multidisciplinary ones.
  • Assist in developing project strategy, scope, and budgets
  • Serve as a secondary client contact and support relationship development.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff, coordinate project team activities, and ensure team safety in the field through Health and Safety Plans (HASP)
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor and assess geological hazards
