CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Financial Analyst to join our Infrastructure Sector Finance Team in Indianapolis, IN. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of project accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, or similar activity required
  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting and invoicing practices with an understanding of business systems, financial tracking, and project management systems
  • Experience with enterprise accounting systems required; experience with Deltek Vision or comparable enterprise accounting system highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate in a team environment with matrix responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Previous experience in a professional services or project‑oriented field and rapid-paced, high-volume environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage project administration for assigned portfolio of Project Managers, including establishing financial setup, revenue methods, budgets, and reporting in Deltek Vision to support accurate and timely project execution
  • Analyze budget‑to-actual variances, collaborate with project teams on corrective actions, and provide sound financial counsel to Sector Finance leadership to support project performance
  • Verify contract and change order characteristics and monitor compliance with contractual commitments and subcontracting requirements such as MWBE and FAR, as well as company policies
  • Review, organize, and maintain key project documentation while supporting internal, regulatory, and client audit activities
  • Prepare accurate draft invoices aligned with contract terms, secure project manager approvals, and finalize timely submissions to clients
  • Monitor outstanding receivables, manage client A/P communications and billing portals, and ensure timely resolution of unpaid or unbilled items
