This role provides administrative and general financial support across our portfolio of government programs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting federal clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field and at least four (4) years of related experience, or eight (8) or more years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or program control in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, policies, and procedures.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in supporting professional development and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Unanet ERP and Financials.
  • Prior experience in the federal/government contracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and financial support to the Finance team.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries promptly with accurate, up-to-date information (e.g., charge codes, timesheets, holidays, PTO).
  • Support Unanet invoicing activities, including documentation, validation, and timely submission.
  • Complete project setup actions in the accounting and timekeeping systems; update as needed to reflect project or contract modifications.
  • Perform project-level budget and financial analysis, supporting monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.
  • Assist with the review and processing of contracts, modifications, and purchase orders.
  • Support state business and tax registration processes.
  • Coordinate travel and expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audit readiness.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
