About The Position

This is for an entry level to prepare accurate management information in a timely manner and support Operation's financial requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent relevant experience or 0-3 years equivalent relevant experience.
  • Required to be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative working style and ability to work across multiple geographies and with a distributed workforce.
  • Systematic, solution-oriented and flexible.
  • Solves problems and acts decisively on problems of moderate complexity and financial risk.
  • Work independently with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in preparing monthly internal and external reporting.
  • Support Project Managers and project teams when looking at project profitability.
  • Prepare required customer reports for assigned projects.
  • Maintain open communication with direct manager and project staff regarding financial data and ensure project staff are aware of risks and opportunities.
  • Support the Development of program annual operating plans (AOP) and Monthly/Quarterly Forecasts.
  • Support with preparing variance analysis and reconciliations.
  • Prepare project close entries and make necessary adjustments to data entry errors.

  • Support Accounts Receivable collections.
  • Review and monitor project funding and expenditures.
  • Develop working knowledge of various government financial terminology, regulations, and clauses related to work assigned.
  • Project life-cycle activities such as project setup/ maintenance, invoicing support, accruals, financial projections, cash flow management and month end close.
  • Development and maintenance of Estimates at Completion (EAC)s on assigned projects.
  • Support financial leads with respect to compliance, and implementation of and upholding organizational financial standards.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned inclusive of responsibilities outlined in the RASCI model related to your area of work.
  • Travel to sites to understand the work being done as needed.
