About The Position

Leidos' National Solutions Business Area within the Intelligence Sector has an immediate opening for a Project Financial Analyst, Lead. This role will play a key part in modernizing financial operations, improving reporting efficiency, and identifying areas to leverage automation and AI-driven insights across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, comfortable working with data and systems, and motivated to continuously improve financial processes using emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of comprehensive Program Finance experience.
  • Hands-on experience in process automation and a demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Prior government contracting experience is required and familiar with multiple contract types.
  • Must have good communication skills written and verbal.
  • Must have strong Microsoft excel experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to identify financial drivers and perform high level and detailed analysis.
  • Able to work successfully in a team environment.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems such as: CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and Insight.
  • Demonstrated experience automating financial processes using tools such as advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Python, RPA Platforms, or ERP workflow tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, and implement process automation solutions within finance workflows such as reporting, reconciliations, and forecasting.
  • Develop dashboards, models, and reporting tools to enhance data visibility and decision making.
  • Estimate at Complete (EAC) development, budgeting, forecasting, managing subcontractor hours, costs, and funding needs, as well as analysis of all contract cost and financial data.
  • Strong organization, analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Being a business partner to program PMs providing well rounded financial analysis to help drive program decisions and understand potential impacts
  • Serves as liaisons between the Program Team and cross-functional departments to perform financial research
  • Manage monthly invoicing process, to include all aspects of AR (aged AR, reconciliation of unbilled balances, rate adjustments, cash collections, etc.)
  • Support monthly closing of financial key measurements (Revenue, Operating Income, Operating Cash Flow, etc…) and provide variance analysis.
  • Support ad hoc requests by internal management and external customers
  • Ability to work independently, or in a team environment and with various organizational levels
