About The Position

The Project Executive will lead Project Teams in the successful completion of construction projects, from the initial hand-off from Estimating through final completion and close-out. This position will coach the Project Management Team in overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, project control and compliance. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities for this position.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred, or equivalent in training and experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of project management experience.
  • Experience with leading or mentoring a team.
  • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the Project Management team for designated region, including mentoring and coaching to improve the overall function and caliber of Team Members.
  • Collaboratively work with Directors of Construction and Field Supervision to plan and execute projects under budget and ahead of schedule.
  • Collaborate with DOC’s to conduct weekly regional meetings with PM and Estimating staff for the respective region.
  • Act as the Fessler & Bowman, Inc. spokesperson for elevated project issues, addressing immediate concerns with the Regional Director when necessary for remediation.
  • Ensure that there is a consistent level of performance among the team that meets and exceeds our clients expectations, both internal and external.
  • Organizing and planning for the safe and efficient execution of projects.
  • Oversee higher level projects from beginning to end, including but not limited to budgeting and procurement, tracking, forecasting, and change management.
  • Participate in post bid review preparation and attendance during the day of the meeting.
  • Act as the first responder to inquiries regarding buyout, procurement, and other project kick-off related tasks.
  • Monitor project management staff assignments and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain the financial controls of projects and hold accountability for the profit/loss of projects.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule and assign projects to PMs based on need.
  • Continually expand knowledge and use of industry best practices and innovation and relay this to the Project Management Teams.
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned.
