About The Position
Leads research, design, and development activities to improve NYPA's energy services. Designs, constructs, and tests equipment. Ensures that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met throughout all engineering activities. Identifies factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, labor, and project risks. Collects and analyzes data to assess the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture a product, construct a building, or provide a service. Calculates, analyzes, and adjusts various estimates throughout the project lifecycle for use in creating budgets, business plans and short / long range plans. Develops construction costs for projects to validate bid results. Creates cashflows for estimated projects, Monte Carlo analysis and value engineering.
