About The Position

Langan is seeking a Project Environmental/ESG Professional to join its rapidly growing national practice. This individual will serve a key function in providing site exploration activities including, but not limited to EHS and ESG Due Diligence; contaminated site investigation and remediation work; soil and groundwater sampling; vapor intrusion investigation; remedial investigation, design, implementation, and monitoring; pilot tests; data management, processing, and evaluation; and report preparation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top industry leadership on a complex and diverse portfolio of environmental projects in a continuous learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Science, or Sustainability
  • 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
  • Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, data management, and judgment capabilities
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
  • Availability to work overtime as needed
  • Possess reliable transportation access to remote job site locations
  • Flexibility to allow for periodic travel

Responsibilities

  • Field work is required
  • Conduct EHS and ESG Due Diligence and deal support for a variety of legal, financial, and industrial clients
  • Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting and managing samples, performing field tests, and collecting and recording field data
  • Perform air, soil, gas, groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated properties
  • Prepare and manage standard logs and field forms documenting field investigations and remedial activities
  • Observe remediation and construction activities and monitor conformance with construction documents, remedial work plans, and health and safety plans
  • Assist clients with post-merger integration and compliance
  • Identify and communicate with supervisor on any problems encountered on project sites and implement solutions to both routine and complex field problems and accurately documents results
  • Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches
  • Assist with report preparation
  • Perform other duties as requested
