Collins Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineering Technician to join our Digital Controls organization within Power & Controls. In this role, you will work closely with our Project Engineering team to support the development, testing, and sustainment of electronic control systems used across a wide range of aerospace applications. This is a hands-on, onsite role that requires collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to deliver high-quality hardware and solutions to our customers.

  • Build, test, and troubleshoot control electronics boards for both Collins and customer use.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and repair production hardware and Customer Returned Material (CRM).
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair engineering test equipment.
  • Partner with Electrical Design teams on Design Verification Testing (DVT).
  • Assist design engineers with problem investigations and specialized testing.
  • Collect, analyze, and report hardware failure data to drive improvements.
  • Prepare and update engineering and program reports to support project tracking.
  • Support preparation, approval, and submission of contractual data items, engineering changes, deviations, and waivers.
  • Assist with creation, approval, and release of engineering documentation (drawings, parts lists, schematics, etc.).
  • Coordinate procurement activities for development hardware, production hardware, and test equipment.
  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior relevant experience in a manufacturing and/or testing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and troubleshoot hardware down to the component level.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with enterprise and product lifecycle management systems (SAP, TeamCenter, etc.).
