About The Position

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Mechanical Project Engineering (Mechanical) Intern for Summer 2026 in our Bellingham location! Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their 'waste' into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. The Project Engineering (Mechanical) Intern will support the engineering team in the design, execution, and implementation of capital and improvement projects across operating sites. This role provides hands-on exposure to project management, equipment installation, and process efficiency initiatives. The intern will gain experience managing projects from design through implementation, collaborating with engineers, construction supervisors, and cross-functional teams to deliver results that improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful and leverage team expertise
  • Eagerness to learn and apply engineering and project management concepts
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across disciplines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academics, projects, or extracurricular activities
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills in the English language

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with the execution of capital projects, including equipment replacements and new equipment installations
  • Apply project management and engineering tools to monitor progress, cost, and scope
  • Participate in efficiency and improvement initiatives to enhance site operations
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and implement solutions
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for engineering leadership
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians, engineers, and operators
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive, bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work
  • Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to contribute
  • Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
