As the LE2 Reentry Project Engineering Manager, you will: Function as the OBS (Organizational Breakdown Structure) Lead for Reentry within the LE2 Program Perform Control Account Manager (CAM) execution and reporting responsibilities for a Reentry scope including Systems Security Engineering (SSE) Responsible for technical, cost, schedule and coordination of LE2 Reentry activities, including hardware development and fabrication Regular coordination with Navy SSP customer on technical execution and cost/schedule status Collaborate with the LE2 Program Leadership Team as part of normal business rhythms including: Engineering Review Boards, IMS Baselining and schedule updates, Change Control Boards, and preparation for major reviews Coordinate with Proposal and Long Range Planning Lead to execute current and future proposals and future long range planning activities Partner with teams across LM and externally (DOE, Navy SSP/SPF) to successfully achieve program technical milestones The position requires full-time onsite support at our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado. The work schedule for this position is a 9-80 flex schedule.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years experience leading projects or teams
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale, complex products and systems. Including familiarity with design milestones, program processes, subcontractor teams, and US DoD or other US government agency customers.
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • Knowledge of fundamental program/project management disciplines, including proposal activities, budget planning and control, and working knowledge of OBS (Organization Breakdown Structure) / IMP (Integrated Master Plan) / IMS (Integrated Master Schedule) as program management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Prior experience in missile or reentry systems development
  • Experience working autonomously and efficiently across organizational and product interfaces in a collaborative, multi-task environment
  • Systems engineering knowledge, with experience support development programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and successful in working in a team environment
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with component, subsystem, and system levels
  • Familiarity with the Navy SSP customer
  • Knowledge of the FBM program and processes
  • Experience interfacing and working collaboratively with the Department of Energy (DOE)
  • Experience in creating and delivering compelling presentations, using effective PowerPoint communication
  • Demonstrated ability to establish close working relationships with key senior leaders and customer executives
  • CAM Experience
  • Experience with cost estimating to support proposal basis of estimates
