About The Position

Are you ready to lead a high-performing team at the forefront of aerospace technology? Collins Aerospace is looking to hire an experienced Project Engineering Manager. We are looking for a results-driven, collaborative leader with a strong project execution mindset and a passion for problem-solving. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional project execution while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, governance, and operational excellence. This position is based at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience in managing programs or parts of a program including successfully managing small groups of engineers under technical guidance.

  • Experience preparing and presenting project status, metrics, and risk assessments to leadership.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and execution frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of long-term project and operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects in accordance with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Identify project risks and issues, recommend mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution.
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear communication of project status, milestones, risks, and action plans.
  • Coordinate resources across engineering, operations, program management, and functional teams to support approved scopes of work.
  • Define and manage project statements of work, develop detailed project schedules, and ensure disciplined execution.
  • Prepare and present project performance metrics, schedules, risks, and mitigation plans during formal program and leadership reviews.
  • Monitor project financials and schedules; prepare reports and dashboards as required.
  • Ensure projects comply with internal governance, project management processes, and industry’s best practices.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution and operational efficiency.
