About The Position

Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer who is leading repair development projects across commercial engines. In this role, you will be working with Technical Leads, Repair Development and Structures Engineering, Program Managers, Chiefs, Validation Engineering/ODA and ASE customers – like component repair & MRO Shops as well as Airlines to ensure timely execution on assigned repair development projects. Lead the Project Engineering Discipline in planning and tracking Projects to achieve optimal efficiency and establish best practice in project planning. Lead the triaging, planning, tracking and reporting progress for assigned repair case work. Interface with the ASE Program Managers and Discipline Managers on schedule, budget and performance. Drive for excellence in on-time delivery. Support PW-internal and external repair businesses and/or engine centers. Identify risk and manage risk reduction efforts Drive continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure ASE and P&W continue to deliver world class customer and shareholder value

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering and minimum 5+ years of related experience or an Advanced degree and minimum 3+ years.
  • Project Engineering experience.
  • Experience managing risk, cost, quality, and schedule for programs with domestic and international customers.
  • Experience executing a long-term strategy, partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to execute that strategy.
  • US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or similarly complex, safety-critical industries.
  • Proven success working with cross-functional engineering teams through the full product lifecycle—from proposal and concept to production and service.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and represent engineering with internal and external customers.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), budgeting, and resource planning
  • Ability to think outside-the-box and develop creative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs and experience in managing program staffing, assignments, and resources.
  • Relevant shop experience, either OEM or component repair.
