About The Position

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on delivering projects to a finished state. This role requires overseeing plans and directing schedules as well as project budgets. The Project Engineer will monitor the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal customers or department personnel. The position involves organizing project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication, ensuring the completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.

Requirements

  • Experience in project management and engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct cost analysis and identify savings opportunities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal customers and departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Bill of Materials (BoM) analysis.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management processes.
  • Knowledge of cost-reduction strategies in engineering projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and Compare BoM to identify potential cost out opportunities.
  • Identify high-cost BoM parts and seek lower cost alternatives wherever possible.
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to identify areas for potential savings.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction opportunities that align with scope.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Supply chain teams to identify potential cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support shops supply chain teams to implement the projects and ensure actualization of the projects on time.
  • Keep track of all cost out projects and report progress on a weekly basis.
  • Keep track of the project progress, project cost, and quality, against defined targets and report to the leadership as per requirements.
