About The Position

The position involves direct interaction with PULSCO representatives and customers to interpret their requirements for hydropneumatic systems and silencer products. The role requires communication and implementation of innovations, ideas, and improvements. The individual will work closely with the Engineering Manager and Director of Research & Development on resource allocation, planning, scheduling, risk management, issue resolution, and productivity metrics tracking. Additionally, the role includes coordinating and directing projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals, and directing the integration of technical activities. The candidate will also analyze technology and resource needs, assess market demand, and evaluate the feasibility of projects. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving cost estimates, preparing and overseeing budgets and bids, and implementing policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering department. Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job is essential.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering, Mechanical - P.E. preferred.
  • 5 - 10 plus years experience in engineering design in the stated areas of expertise.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience on PC using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Access), AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PIPE2010 software.
  • Knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Design.
  • Understanding of Compressible and Incompressible Flow.
  • Knowledge of Acoustics and Electric Control Logic.
  • Ability to accomplish goals without direct line authority.
  • Good people/interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and personal influence.
  • Good listening skills and ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information and results to choose the best solution.
  • Ability to professionally communicate and represent the organization to customers and external sources.
  • Must have the ability to travel.
