This position will collaborate closely with a dedicated Project Manager, reporting to the Sales Manager, and be responsible for the technical coordination of assigned projects. This includes fostering clear and consistent communication among all disciplines and project team members, including clients, architects, and vendors. This role offers the opportunity to further hone your expertise in estimating, scheduling, and design within our dynamic design-built construction process, leveraging the latest technologies and BIM methodologies.

  • Assist the Project Manager with writing proposals, letters, memos, subcontracts, change orders, and other documents related to project execution.
  • Manage and/or significantly contribute to the development, maintenance, and submission of critical project documents including RFIs, Submittals, Procurement Logs, Shop Drawings, etc.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular meetings both internal and external (i.e. project kickoff meetings, BIM meetings, schedule meetings, etc.).
  • Estimate tasks such as performing takeoffs, soliciting quotes from vendors and subcontractors, compiling complete bid estimates, and developing change order packages.
  • Manage job progress and quality onsite, leveraging design and construction expertise to solve emergent operational and installation challenges.
  • Provide interpretation of technical plans and specifications.
  • Handle purchasing processes including vendor and subcontractor buyout, procurement tracking, and delivery of purchased items.
  • Manage project financial responsibilities such as installation tracking, labor forecasting, invoice review, and billing development.
  • Assist in job closeout efforts such as submission of O&Ms, Commissioning, As-Builts, Warranty processing, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to keep them informed on all issues affecting project timeline and budget.
  • Utilize ACCO standard Engineering technologies and provide technical support for the construction effort.
  • Develop and maintain viable relationships with partners outside of ACCO including customers, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Foster a strong relationship with ACCO's internal departments (i.e. Construction, Fabrication Shops, Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing, Legal, etc.).
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or upper management.
  • BS in Engineering; Construction Management, or related field. Mechanical and/or related engineering concentration strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience preferred in Business Systems Software (JDE, IFS, BidTracer, FastEst, Bluebeam, Box, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Progression from Project Engineer I to Project Engineer II, III, or a Senior role based on performance, experience, and demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Competitive wages ranging from $38.47 to $57.70 per hour.
  • Occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs.
