Nevell Group is looking for a motivated Project Engineer with a strong interest in commercial construction and project management. In this role, you’ll support project teams by coordinating field operations, managing documentation, and ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are met. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners to help deliver high-quality drywall and framing projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field OR 2+ years of equivalent experience in commercial construction, preferably in drywall, framing, or wall systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day project coordination.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, and close-out materials.
  • Assist with job site safety procedures, compliance, and documentation.
  • Monitor labor production, budgets, and schedules; prepare regular progress reports.
  • Help develop and track punch lists to ensure timely completion.
  • Review plans, specifications, and blueprints to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain effective communication between the project team, clients, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.
