About The Position

Performance Contracting Group is a national employee-owned specialty contractor providing quality services and products to commercial, industrial, and non-residential construction markets. The company is committed to diversity, safety, inclusiveness, and professional development for its employees. PCI is seeking a Project Engineer for its Phoenix 562 operations in Phoenix, Arizona. This individual will work on mission critical or semiconductor job sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction management is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction Science or related discipline, or comparable work experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadline

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with interior systems preferred
  • Mission critical or cleanroom is a plus
  • Live in greater phoenix area

Responsibilities

  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Prepare RFI’s and submittals
  • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
  • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
  • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
