About The Position

Doka USA Ltd seeks a Project Engineer (Pompano Beach, FL) to work with the Sales team to produce DokaCAD drawings during the proposal project stage and finalize working drawings for site use, utilizing Doka's proprietary forming systems. Produce and ensure that all drawings indicate the proper use of Doka forming equipment and that the drawings represent safe, economical, and efficient designs. Perform analysis and design/price calculations to ensure that the work is designed with available inventory and in conformance with safety, engineering, and contractual guidelines. Provide material lists for quotations and shipments to the project site. Conduct project site visits, identifying any improper implementation and ensures corrective measures are immediately implemented. Local telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. 3% domestic travel required.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field and 2 years of concrete design or concrete application experience.
• Scheduling projects to meet deadlines
• Project management software
• Determining and planning technical solutions for projects utilizing formwork systems
• Partnering with customers, contractors, sales and operations departments while managing jobs from preliminary project planning stages to project completion
• AutoCAD, Structural analysis and basic static calculations
• Computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ensuring that the policies, procedures, programs, standards of performance and compliance are adhered to
• Visiting job sites as required, identifying any improper implementation and taking action to ensure technical solutions are immediately implemented
• Working with sales to produce preliminary drawings during the proposal stage, finalize field use drawings, generating material lists for quotations and shipments to the site
• Providing guidance to junior designers on the effective utilization of software programs and foundational formwork systems
• Reviewing the work of other engineers to ensure accuracy in drawings, material calculations, correct application usage, and fundamental statics.
