At this time, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our AmerCable Team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and facility drawings
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment installation and plant layout concepts
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, contractors, and vendors
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving ability

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred
  • Experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Relevant industrial project experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of plant capital projects including equipment installations, facility modifications, and infrastructure improvements
  • Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawings including equipment layouts, utility routing, and building modifications
  • Perform field measurements and verify dimensions to support drawing development and project planning
  • Support the development of project scopes, cost estimates, and project schedules
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal departments during project execution
  • Support equipment installations and facility upgrades while ensuring alignment with plant engineering standards
  • Work with production, maintenance, and EHS teams to ensure safe and effective project implementation
