About The Position

Resource Innovations is seeking a Project Engineer (REF #IK1025) to join our office in Chicago, IL. Partial telecommuting permitted up to 3 days/week. Duties & Responsibilities: Conducts site visits to verify installation and operation of new and replacement energy efficient equipment; Writes technical reports summarizing the results of the energy analyses and recommends energy savings opportunities and incentive payments; works on the development of new energy efficiency measures. Supports measurement and verification tasks to verify energy savings, utilizing tools such as Excel and Tableau for data analysis and visualization; Performs and reviews energy savings analyses and building energy simulation modeling; Performs technical reviews and analyzes energy performance metrics by calculating and reviewing energy savings achieved through energy-efficient equipment upgrades; Assists contractors and customers to select appropriate energy efficiency equipment that would qualify for equipment rebates from the utility; Communicates and coordinates efficiently with various project stakeholders and participants including contractors and end customers. Delivers monthly training sessions to educate customers on program updates and enhancements. Compensation & Benefits Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $95,500.00. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits. Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field of study
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation
  • Must have 3 years of experience in the following skills: Energy modeling and building simulation; HVAC systems
  • Must have 2 years of experience in the following: Writing and reviewing technical papers for energy analysis; Analyzing HVAC designs and specifications; Building automation systems; Data analysis and visualization for energy efficiency projects
  • Must have knowledge of Energy Efficiency Codes and Standards
  • Up to 20% domestic travel required to project sites across the United States
