About The Position

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing engineering and technical development projects. This role focuses on the engineering design of water treatment systems, equipment specification, and project management to improve efficiency and functionality for water treatment and manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Revit and Solidworks.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements.
  • AA degree in a related engineering discipline with 4 years of experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the facility.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Ability to wear PPE as appropriate.
  • Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, quotations, and technical support of residential and commercial systems.
  • Collaborate with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
  • Oversees various aspects of workflow, staffing, budget allocation, and scheduling of the assigned project.
  • Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
  • Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
  • Collaborates with other teams to change plans if problems arise.
  • Analyzes equipment, systems, and processes to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
  • Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
  • Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
  • Collaborates with the sales and operations departments to identify and troubleshoot problems.
  • Occasionally travels to job sites for setup and start-up of company products.
  • Plan and execute building changes, shop floor layouts, and reorganizations to optimize workflow.
  • Manage the design, specification, and procurement of production tooling and equipment.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors on facility and equipment projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
