About The Position

The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and site team in planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards. Responsibilities include managing schedules, preparing reports, conducting quality control, and overseeing subcontractor performance. The Project Engineer serves as a liaison between the office and the field to streamline project operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in construction project engineering or project management.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project scopes, objectives, and schedules.
  • Prepare, manage, and track project documents such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and permits.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Review and interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to standards and project specifications.
  • Track project progress, report on milestones, and assist in resolving issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs and reports.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, tracking expenses, and forecasting costs.
  • Support communication between project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
