About The Position

The IT Project Engineer bridges the gap between technical implementation and project management, responsible for designing, deploying, and overseeing IT infrastructure projects (networks, servers, cloud/O365 migrations) from initiation to completion. This individual is expected to be an energetic, hands-on team member, experienced in handling a wide range of tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. The role requires someone highly organized, possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, willing and able to travel occasionally, and demonstrating an eagerness to learn new tools and take on new challenges.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of IT Project engineering or related technical role experience.
  • Experience with client on-boarding and systems migrations.
  • 5+ years of O365 experience.
  • 2+ years of network troubleshooting and implementation experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must always maintain a valid local state driver’s license in good standing.
  • Must maintain valid insurance in accordance with state law when using personal vehicle.
  • Must immediately advise direct supervisors immediately of any deviations of the license or insurance requirements.
  • Driving required, with 50%+ travel associated with functions (mostly local, but occasionally out of state).
  • Must have reliable transportation, able and willing to travel by air.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture and services, including Exchange online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Intune.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, group policy, active directory, roles and services.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, OneDrive, printer setup and deployment.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and shell scripting.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki and networking fundamentals.
  • MD-102: Microsoft Endpoint Administrator certification.
  • SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator certification.
  • SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator certification.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) certification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and oversee IT infrastructure projects (networks, servers, cloud/O365 migrations) from initiation to completion.
  • Deploy new PCs to end users.
  • Assist with file and email migrations.
  • Configure, install, and deploy software, policies, and network equipment.
  • Provide weekly updates to stakeholders.
  • Drive technical projects (e.g., office moves, server migrations, security setups) from discovery to final delivery.
  • Engage in analysis and troubleshooting to resolve client issues related to project implementation.
  • Maintain regular customer interaction via phone, email, teams/zoom, or in-person to ensure satisfaction.
  • Utilize PowerShell and shell scripting to automate and streamline processes.
  • Author and maintain system diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Act as the liaison between technical subject matter experts, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex technical issues.
  • Monitor project compliance with technical standards and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance service delivery and project outcomes.
  • Lead projects to completion.
  • Stay current on relevant technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
