About The Position

This role will support the Functional Operations Research and Test manufacturing team in the Advanced Development Program line of business. You will be supporting multiple unclassified and classified programs to include day to day execution tasks at the FORT. As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the shop floor in all fabrication efforts. You will support proposal work as necessary, manufacturing small to medium projects, provide manufacturability feedback to program stakeholders and customers. You will be expected to interface with internal customers and support the FORT Supervisor to meet organizational objectives. You will be expected to take 3D engineering data and convert it to usable formats to manufacturing equipment at the FORT to produce aerospace products. Requirements

  • Experience in a Machine Shop/Manufacturing/Aerospace environment
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field (ie. Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Experience taking 3D models and converting into research/test/Production hardware
  • Ability to read blueprints for complex systems and hardware

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with customer interface
  • Support Proposal activities for manufacturing
  • Experience with producibility or MRL activities
  • Experience in Assembly and Test
