About The Position
The Project Engineer will support day-to-day construction operations, assist with estimating, and provide critical project coordination for the Traffic Division. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on project involvement, problem-solving, and contributing to efficient construction execution.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong interest in construction, project management, and accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and field personnel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager with daily operational aspects of construction projects
- Assist the estimating team with project take-offs
- Verify monthly subcontractor payables
- Participate in internal scheduling meetings
- Assist in developing operational plans and documents
- Support the preparation of claims and documentation
- Perform small estimating tasks as needed
- Monitor and track productivity using company tools and systems
- Conduct material take-offs for active projects
- Order, release, and track materials as required
- Perform field observations and site visits on construction projects
