About The Position

Global Air Logistics and Training, Inc. (GALT Aerospace) is a non-traditional defense contractor focused on rapid innovation to solve critical security challenges. Founded in 2015, GALT Aerospace provides simple, effective information capabilities to support all levels of war, focusing on architecture solutions, open systems integration, rapid prototyping, fielding, and operations. The company's culture emphasizes Customer Focused Innovation, intellectual curiosity, and cognitive diversity. Programs typically involve rapid development and demonstrations of advanced integrated communication systems in SWaP-constrained military airborne platforms. GALT Aerospace is seeking a full-time salaried Project Engineer to lead the development, integration, and testing of high-performance RF communication and electronic warfare systems for defense aerospace applications. This role focuses on high-performance and efficient embedded software systems, hosting military-grade waveforms, and implementing Weapons Open Systems Architecture (WOSA) standards to drive technical strategy from design to field deployment. The Project Engineer will oversee the bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of RF hardware in laboratory environments using RF test equipment. This position requires knowledge of project and resource planning fundamentals, including integrated master schedules, work breakdown structures, resourced scheduling, critical path determination, risk identification and mitigation, and an understanding of defense contracting. Project Engineers at GALT Aerospace have significant responsibilities, are accountable for program success, and must possess strong time management skills, be team-oriented, and communicate effectively. With technical program management responsibilities, the role requires knowledge of industry norms and safe practices. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Program Manager and Lead Engineer to ensure program success, manage the engineering schedule, and lead and task a small team of engineers.
