Identify improvement opportunities and use a data driven approach to qualify the improvement, develop timelines, and budgets. Write scopes of work and communicate with contractors to obtain quotes and requisition funds for projects. Oversee projects to completion including supervision of contractors to ensure projects are completed correctly, on time, and under budget. Schedule training and informational seminars as needed. Train employees, provide feedback on performance, assign and direct work as needed. Lead and/or participate in cross functional teams that focus on process improvement. May provide supervision and/or technical guidance to manufacturing departments. Provide engineering support for equipment upgrades, machine replacements, new equipment, and construction projects. Communicate with various departments within the corporation to obtain information and provide project updates. Create layouts and drawings using Solid Works / E Drawings. Research and evaluate new technologies as they pertain to the manufacturing process. Assist maintenance departments in developing, evaluating, and editing preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Manage and work on various projects as requested by the Technical Manager. Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements. Request capital project funds using the CapEx database. Enter purchase requisitions and manage capital spending using JD Edwards software. Position requires availability by business needs. Lead and or Manage CI Projects. Create WI’s on new equipment, new processes and provide training to those affected.
