About The Position

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team. As a leading project and construction management firm, Overwatch is committed to providing exceptional services and delivering high-quality projects for our clients. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various construction projects, from inception to completion. Projects will include tenant improvements, renovation, infrastructure, site work, etc at CSULB. Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000 Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

3-6+/- years of project engineer experience, including major capital projects
Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials
Proficient in construction management software, such as Procore or Primavera P6
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred
CSU experience is a plus but not required
Design-Build or CM at Risk Experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical and administrative support to the construction manager.
Responsible for project document control, i.e. RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, etc.
Organize and maintain project files
Assist CM with change order management.
The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing, and prepare change orders for processing.
Manage the closeout and turn over process.
Assist CM to prepare project files for CSU system audit at project completion.
Site conditions verification and support as needed.
