About The Position

You will be the Project Engineer for the Mission Assurance Team which is responsible for coordinating engineering efforts, managing cost and schedule, and delivering process improvements for Skunk Works® and AMMM programs. What You Will Be Doing: As the Project Engineer you will be responsible for integrating technical, cost, and schedule data to keep mission‑critical projects on track. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintain technical, cost, and schedule aspects of contracts and generate earned‑value and risk assessments. - Develop and manage detailed project plans, roadmaps, and Basis of Estimates while supporting Control Account Management. - Collaborate with engineering, program, and government stakeholders to resolve anomalies and drive continuous improvement. - Participate in customer, government, and audit reviews, ensuring compliance and clear communication of project status. - Report progress, issues, and achievements to the Mission Assurance Senior Manager and Director. Who You Are: You are a detail‑oriented, collaborative professional with proven experience in project engineering, earned‑value management, and risk mitigation. You thrive in complex, interrelated environments, can multitask effectively, and communicate technical concepts clearly. A U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance, you are ready to travel to Lockheed Martin, supplier, and customer facilities as required. Further Information About This Opportunity: MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth. This position is in Marietta, GA Discover Marietta.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college/university.
  • Generally has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Experience communicating with multi-disciplined engineering teams.
  • Experience with finance, planning, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidate must be available for occasional domestic travel (up to 25 %).
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple high‑priority tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in Project Planning and/or Project Management.
  • Experience working proposals, contracts and/or process development and improvement.
  • Experience with project performance and metric tools such as Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Tableau.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of Avionics Subsystems to include Communications, Navigation, Identification, Infrared Search and Track, Core Processing, Electronic Warfare/Protection and Radar.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, or in a Control Account Manager Role
  • Ability to or Experience conducting gap analysis and managing multiple projects/milestones
