Opportunity: Project Engineer Summary: We are seeking a results-driven Project Engineer to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and resource constraints. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively coordinate team members, stakeholders, and external partners. The ideal candidate will develop detailed project plans, manage risks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment internally and externally with our customers. They will proactively identify issues, implement solutions, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, improving processes, and ensuring successful project outcomes that support strategic initiatives. About You Leadership ability Technical capacity Strong problem solver Big picture thinking Excellent communicator Team player Customer focused Quality driven What You`ll Be Doing Takes ownership for the following key responsibilities: Departmental Performance - Drive processes to support departmental metrics that measure the following key areas: Ensures designs are on or under budget Ensures project work and materials are on time Ensures project output contains minimal errors Utilize standard operating procedures (SOP), tracking tools, work instructions, etc for consistent communications and processes Departmental Competencies - Support customer centric culture with a high sense of urgency Drive accountability to team members for their work and performance Deliver complete, clear and concise communication, containing pertinent information and a call-to-action when necessary Additional Responsibilities - Leads team projects to efficient, timely and successful completion. Partners closely with other teams and departments to execute projects including customer service, production and sales and marketing. Assist Sr. Project Engineer with identifying resource needs to plan and assess upcoming projects Consults with vendors to prepare project specifications and deliverables Provides feedback to discipline supervisor as necessary for assigned team members Generates Gantt charts and communicates them to Sales and the Customer Generates reports from ERP system to track components and estimate to actual labor hours to refine Gantt charts Facilitates project handoff to Production and Service teams Is the front-line leader of each project Address internal and external client questions and/or concerns throughout the project Communicate and act as a liaison between internal clients, external clients, vendor and other project stakeholders, as applicable Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk Communicate and collaborate with project design teams to complete multiple concurrent projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency Develop and actively maintain electronic project file records in accordance with established protocols Assist with shipping coordination to customer site Qualifications Required Education and Experience Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience Possess technical skills in engineering processes and methods Ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines PMP Certification preferred Benefits Competitive salary Bi-annual bonus potential Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, life insurance, AD&D) Flexible PTO & Sick Time 401(k) matching (discretional) Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment with part of the time in the plant. The employee is regularly exposed to a variety of conditions within the plant including hot and cold temperatures. The noise level is usually moderate. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Possess technical skills in engineering processes and methods
  • Ability to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification preferred
