SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Project Engineer position performs a variety of structural engineering duties, including inspection, assessment, evaluation, analysis, design, and technical document preparation. To fulfill these obligations, Structural Engineers must be able to conduct assigned structural engineering work in compliance with applicable engineering codes, procedures, practices, and standards.

Requirements

Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in structural engineering.
Proficiency in computer-assisted civil engineering and office software and equipment.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
Bachelor’s degree and or Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited four-year university.
0-4 years of relevant engineering experience.
Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
Valid US Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under direction of a higher-level engineer.
Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under direction of a higher-level engineer.
Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under direction of a higher-level engineer.
Prepares comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans and specifications under direction of a higher-level engineer.
Actively participates in internal project meetings and works to actively resolve project issues.
Actively promotes a safe work culture.
