is seeking a organized and detail-oriented Project Engineer with commercial project experience in Phoenix, Arizona to build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.
Implement assigned duties with an exceptional level of accuracy, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
Review and process all submittals and RFI's, ensuring compliance with contract documents and in accordance with project needs.
Participate, coordinate agendas, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items.
Maintain document files and logs.
Provide shop drawing, submittal, and material procurements updates to properly support updating of the project schedule.
Compile material procurement.
Assist in the monitoring and controlling of the project schedules.
Implement and maintain the expediting report to monitor both 's and subcontractors' material and equipment needs.
Provide an orderly and systematic process for handling problems and information requests generated through the course of construction.
Maintain a complete and current set of drawings reflecting all changes from the base contract documents; including change order requests, addenda, fieldwork orders, ASI's, correspondence, and field conditions.
Implement job start-up and close-out procedures as directed by the Project Manager.
Fully understand the scope of all subcontracts; keep Project Manager and Project Superintendent aware of potential challenges.
Assist in the planning and monitoring of the quality control program as outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual, including roofing daily reports and inspections.
Acquire a thorough knowledge of the contract documents, plans, specifications, owner's contract and subcontracts.
Participate in the bid process and assists owner and Project Manager in recording and reviewing of bids.
Prepare change order requests and agreement change orders, review for pricing and status, ensuring compliance with the prime contract.
Assist in preparing monthly progress payment requests to the owner, including preparation of subcontractor/vendor pre-billing worksheet.
Chair meetings, coordinate agendas, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items.
Coordinate and assist with regulatory inspection requests, as required.
2-5 years of position related work experience in construction management or related field and Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering.
Associates Degree in a relevant field and 4 years industry experience.
6 years of industry experience with no degree obtained.
OSHA 10 certificate.
Knowledge of commercial construction and design.
Skilled in project management software and equipment.
Must have technical knowledge, scheduling and organizational skills.
