We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in supporting a critical weapon system program for the military. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and management of engineering projects, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to develop and implement project plans.
  • Coordinate and oversee the technical aspects of missile development projects, ensuring compliance with military standards and specifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and prepare regular status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all engineering activities are performed in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and other project-related activities.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create and present technical project details at customer status reviews and technical interchange meetings.
  • Oversee and support technical estimates for proposals.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a specific engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of missile systems and military standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams spanning multiple sites, in different time zones within the United States.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (with ability to obtain SAP).
  • Ability to travel ~25%.
  • Master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with systems engineering and integration.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and requirements.
